Last week, I attended the Metamorphosis event hosted by the Female Founder Collective in New York. It was one of those rooms that reminds you how powerful it is to be surrounded by women who are building, evolving, and pushing through the messy middle of entrepreneurship.
From the outside, building a company can look polished and linear. Inside the room, the reality is different. Growth rarely follows a straight line. It is iterative, sometimes uncomfortable, and often happening quietly behind the scenes before the world ever sees the result.
What stood out most was the openness of the conversations. Founders shared the transitions that shape a company over time. Not just the wins, but the lessons, pivots, and unexpected paths that ultimately move a business forward.
The theme of metamorphosis resonated deeply. Reinvention is not about abandoning who you are. It is about expanding into the next version of yourself. The best founders are constantly evolving, learning, and building forward.
At Spacely, that mindset feels very familiar.
